With a HR licence you can drive an MR vehicle, a bus or truck (including a prime mover or a mobile crane) over 8t GVM with more than 2 axles. You can also tow a trailer with maximum weight of 9t GVM. You can also drive an articulated bus (a bus that can bend in the middle).

Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Training, Courses and Driving Test Options

For the quickest and most cost effective  way to get your HR licence – choose our  Automatic Licence Package .

To upgrade to an unrestricted truck licence for any truck go with a unrestricted truck licence , this is a Roadranger style  (often referred to as a crash box). Harder to master but is required for some specific transport industry roles.

Automatic Licence Package

• $155 per hour for driving lessons
• $530 for TEST and 1hr lesson prior to test
• HR B Day Course  – 4 hours of training + test + TMR booking fee $975
• HR B Day Course  ~ Conducted from Redcliffe, Strathpine, Zillmere or Caboolture
• If additional lessons or tests are required in Package Deal – customer will be charged at lesson by lesson rate

Unrestricted HR licence Package

Road Ranger Package.  7hrs training + test /debrief . We strongly  recommend the training is completed over time to allow a thorough understanding and requirements of a Road Ranger gearbox . Allow extra time before test day, if needed for extra training as many drivers need extra time to master the double clutch .

$1,315 for Road Ranger Package

$155.00 per hour if required

• If additional lessons or tests are required in Package Deal – customer will be charged at lesson by lesson rate
